My first solo mission trip was in end of 2012, it was a requirement for all students in Discipleship Training Centre to embark on a solo mission trip to fulfill the overseas field mission criteria. I went to Taipei, Taiwan for two weeks and was attached to Taiwan OMF. My involvement in Taipei was with the children and youth work as well as exposure to the working class ministry and the marginalized group of people. I remembered that I was apprehensive and fearful prior the trip as I do not know what to expect for the trip. How would it be like working with the locals and missionaries?

Last month, I came across an article titled, “Content in His Providence” by R.C. Sproul. I was greatly ministered by this article as I pondered on my current situations. Hence, I wish you too will be ministered. Before I share my personal reflections, allow me to briefly summarize the article. The writer begins by pointing out how frustrated people could feel when they realized that they are unable to obtain a life which they discovered is far better than the one that they are currently living. He then asserts that contentment is the remedy for this frustration.
