Joyful Voices

Joyful Voices is a Children’s Music Ministry which is under the umbrella of the PSPC Children’s Ministry. It comprises of children from the age of 5 to 12 who have the desire to serve the Lord through singing, drama and dance.

Theme Verse:

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)

The Joyful Voices aims to train children up to love and serve the Lord through music and song, as well as to share the Word of God with the congregation, and pre-believers during outreach events.

Goals and Objectives:

1.    JV members will learn to share the Word of God with others through songs and activities.

2.    To provide music training for JV members (e.g. music appreciation, vocal training, breathing techniques etc.)

Special Programmes

  1. Whampoa Elder Care Centre Visit (June)

This year, JV will be visiting WECC in June in place of IMPACT. This will be a joint project with the Sunday School. JV will be presenting a few song items and will be joined by the Sunday School children. Thereafter, we will be organizing some simple games to be played with the elderly. We will end the day’s activities with lunch and the children will learn to serve the elderly.

  1. Christmas Carolling/Year-End Thanksgiving (December)

JV will also be carolling this year in December. We will be visiting at least 2 homes and ending the day with a year-end thanksgiving party, during which we will be giving out tokens of appreciation to all our JV helpers and instructors, our members (graduating and non-graduating members alike), and most important of all, spending time to reflect upon and give thanks for God’s faithfulness and guidance in the year that has passed.
