Welcome Message from the Ladies Ministry.

The PSPC Ladies Ministry Committee is a group of ladies committed to the Ministry’s goal of building a community of godly women in the Lord, rooted in the Word of God, equipped to worship and serve Him actively.

The Ministry serves through various events, the Mom’s Fellowship and the Ladies Prayer Link. Through all these, the Ministry hopes to bring all ladies of our church together for learning, serving, bonding, fellowshipping and reaching out for the Lord.

Ongoing Activities

Mom’s Fellowship: Our two cheerful and committed ladies, Mrs Evelyn Loh and Mrs Diana Chan visit mothers with newborn babies and other needy members, encourage them through fellowship, sharing and prayers.

Ladies Prayer Link: Ladies Prayer Link started as follow up to the Prayer Workshop organised by the Committee in 2006. This spiritual exercise through smses or telephone calls is meant for short-term definite and immediate requests to pray.

Praise and thanks to God for enabling the ladies of the Link to faithfully, fervently and conscientiously pray through the requests on receiving them and checking for updates on the members who requested the prayers.

We have learnt that praying for others is a privilege and powerful source of comfort and strength. God may not always answer at the exact moment we call Him but when He answers He is always on time.

Come join us in this daily spiritual exercise. Praying for others can become as natural as breathing.

PSPC Ladies Ministry Leaders Retreat

"Women Disciples in the New Testament"
Instructor: Dr Eileen Poh
Date : 8 Wednesdays from 7 January - 4 March 2009;
Time : 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm
Venue : St Andrew's Cathedral, Prayer Hall
Cost : $80.00 per person

When we read about women in the New Testament, we may think that they are portrayed as inferior and subordinate to men. They must submit to their husbands, tending to their needs, and the needs of their children and their households. In church, they must keep quiet, and not assume any position in leadership. Is there anything useful that we can learn from the NT on how to be women disciples in twenty-first century Singapore?

This course examines the relationships that women had at home (as daughter, wife or mother) and in her community in first century Palestine and the Graeco-Roman world. What would have been the effect of her conversion on these relationships? What kind of dilemma would a woman disciple have faced in her household and in her community? We will also examine her new relationships in the Christian community.

This course is NOT for women only!
