Year 1951 When Rev T C Gibson retired in 1951, it was a turning point in the
history of Prinsep in that, Rev John J K Lu became our first local full-time Minister.

Year 1952 The Girls Brigade 7th Company (formerly known as Girls

Year 1955 Rev Dr Henry Poppen came from China to become Prinsep's next
Minister. Despite his age he was full of vitality. [Click to read more]
Year 1959 A new Fellowship Hall (which included the Manse) was built in March

Year 1960 Rev Gilbert Lum with Prinsep's past and serving members. [Click to

Year 1966 Prinsep Youth Fellowship (PYF) Conference, April 1966. [Click to read

Year 1972 Rev James Seah, Associate Pastor from 1972 - 1977. [Click to read

Year 1973 Children's Day 1973. [Click to read more]
Year 1977 Rev Carl Blanford came to Prinsep in 1977 and stayed till 1982 when
he returned to the United States because of health reasons. [Click to read more]
Year 1984 Pastor Peter Quek joined the church in 1981-1984 as associate pastor.
He was overseeing the Christian Education, Sunday School, nurture groups, library and the

Year 1985 Rev Richard Ng was our first home-grown pastor. He grew up through
the rank-and-file in the BB 1st Company. [Click to read more]
Year 1988 One of the fruits of the BB and GB ministry was the formation of the
Immanuel Youth Fellowship (IYF). [Click to read more]
Year 1989 A new building and a new Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) at the cost of

Year 1991 Rev Chris Chia joined the pastoral staff in 1991 upon his return from
theological studies at Moore Theological College in Sydney, Australia. [Click to read

Year 1992 Rev Peter Poon became our next Moderator in 1992 after Rev Dr Joe

Year 1995 Our BB Ministry at Pioneer Secondary School since 1995. [Click to

Year 1997 In 1997, we restarted our GB 7th Company at Pioneer Secondary School.
