Elder Chiam Cheng Kiat was baptized in Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church in 1977 and was ordained as elder in 1983. He retired early in 2003 and he went on to graduate from Singapore Bible College with a Bachelor of Theology in 2007. His area of focus is the ministry to the seniors and shares in the general pastoral duties.

He is married to Ko Yun Lan and they have two daughters, Elizabeth and Eunice.
