Peter currently serves as our Associate Minister since June 2000. Besides sharing the Ministry of the Word and Sacraments (i.e. administering the Holy Communion and Baptism) with the Moderator, he oversees the Children’s Ministry, Cell Group Ministry, Christian Education, Marriage and Family Education, Internship Programme, BB/GB Chaplaincy, and Library.

During the last thirteen years of pastoral ministry, besides pastoring a local congregation, Peter has been very active at the denomination level, Presbytery and Synod work. Previously, he served for five consecutive years as Chairman of the Training Committee of the English Presbytery. Also, he has served as a member of the Executive Committee of both the English Presbytery and Synod. He was elected and served for two years (2006–2007) the Synod Vice Moderator. During the term of office, he chaired the Synod Personnel and Preachers’ Committee. Currently, Peter also sits as a member of the Home Council of the SIM East Asia Ltd, a regional office of the SIM International (a mission agency).

Peter graduated from Trinity Theological College (TTC, Singapore) with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) in 1993 after four years of grueling studies. Since then he has been serving in the pastoral ministry within the Presbyterian Church in Singapore. Prior to that, he worked for four and a half years in the marketplace in the areas of administration and finance, and then a short stint with an SIM East Asia Ltd as Accountant Treasurer.

Peter is our very own home grown pastor. He was baptized as a member in September 1981. During his years of growing up as a member, he has served in various ministries and capacities, especially as a youth leader. Also he has served as a musician, preached as a layperson, and led worship services, bible classes, and small groups. During his seminary days as a student, he served as a Deacon in the capacity of Church Treasurer.

Peter is married to Diana for the past 16 years and together they are blessed with three boys: Joseph (15), Jeremy (12), and Jordan (9). They live in the North-East housing estate of Singapore. He enjoys playing football and basketball with his sons. He also enjoys reading, jogging, singing, playing on the guitar and piano.
