REFLECTION BY ADRIEL YEO ON PRINSEP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (PIP)

A few years back, the thought of entering ministry sounded close to ridiculous and yet here I am one week shy of enlisting into seminary. What transpired between then and now would take too long to recount but perhaps sharing my key learning points within the past 1 to 2 years would be more manageable. As I reflect through my experiences, three broad themes come to mind – Calling, Community and Discipleship.

Calling

Confession of Sins and Community

Following PSPC’s theme on “Christ-centred Relationships, Godly Families”, one of the questions that inevitably come to mind is “How do I cultivate Christ-centred relationships among my peers?”  A typical but important reply would be to pray more with community or to read the bible together.  Yet on my reflection, I realised that an important aspect that has often been neglected is the confession of sin to community.
